Public Relations-Communications Assistant
The public relations/communications assistant will work with the division in assisting in the day to day assignments of social media postings, special event planning, intranet posting and external and internal communications.
Duties include: planning, implementing and followup for all of the corporate staff events, coordinating event logistics, publicity, and promoting the event internally. Assist with the content management for the HHC website and the NEXUS 2 intranet. Broaden the social networking to benefit the organization. Attend editorial board meetings, production meetings, assist with media events and press conferences. Set up, coordination and on site oversight during the events.
Attend orientation meetings and take photos and speak about the PR department. Take photos and video of events. Assist with emergency preparedness planning, script writing for TV and radio shows.
Prefer 1-3 years of experience in a paid special event, marketing and website position. Evidence of successful events, sponsorship, marketing, public relations, website content management, social media marketing, and business development relationship programs. Experience working with teams and committees. Excellent communication skills that include writing, proof reading skills and speaking. Photography and video a plus. Experience in public health a plus. Graduate from a 4 year college or university. Communication, marketing or PR experience.
