The Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP) currently is recruiting for the position of Marketing Communications Associate.

This position is an integral part of the marketing communications team, responsible for the implementation and evaluation of INHP’s business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing communications plans aimed at influencing brand perception and generating leads. The marketing communications associate also applies their integrated communications expertise to help INHP’s advancement department achieve donor acquisition, engagement and retention goals.

The ideal candidate will possess successful, results-driven communications experience. He/she will use strategic public relations planning to create awareness and develop brand advocates.

The individual also will work collaboratively with the team to support internal communications initiatives; conceive and execute email marketing campaigns; write clear and concise content across all channels for internal and external audiences; and help develop communications tactics such as press releases, collateral materials, advertisements and presentations.

The individual also will be the day-to-day contact for INHP’s annual media buy, working with consultant team(s) to develop and implement a robust plan that is strategic, responsive and ultimately supports lead generation goals. Working in concert with other members of the marketing communications team, he/she will develop strategies that leverage all communications channels in support of community outreach/event marketing initiatives and sponsorship programs.

The marketing communications associate is a well-rounded, nimble teammate with a desire to innovate and the ability to multitask with ease. The individual will approach integrated marketing communications projects operationally, analytically, creatively and resourcefully. A high level of professionalism, creativity and customer service skills are required for this position.


This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or a related field. In addition, the incumbent should have a minimum of five years of professional marketing communications experience or experience in a related role, a proven track record of developing, measuring and managing successful media buy/ad campaigns. In addition, experience developing collateral materials, sales kits and/or marketing communications by creating clear and concise content using AP style is also preferred. Previous experience collaborating with print and digital graphic design vendors, event planning/execution, copywriting, editing and experience using a content management system is a plus.

Working knowledge in the following programs is a plus: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, WordPress, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Click Dimensions, Constant Contact, Raiser’s Edge Online Express.  Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook also is required.
