Title: Public Relations Specialist
Job Type: Full-time

One Click is seeking a Public Relations Specialist who will help with the efforts of telling the story of our three eyewear brands (, Sunglass Warehouse, and felix + iris). Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, this position will be responsible for building relationships with the media and influencers, as well as securing placements on multiple platforms including, but not limited to: blogs, newspapers, social media, magazines, online publications, and television.   • Focus majority of time on media relations and utilizing high level content to secure online relationships
  • Craft compelling stories around One Click’s team, customers, brands, technologies, community involvement, and more
  • Utilize the One Click PR Scorecard to track goals and successes of PR placements according to the quality of the placement (link, publication, content, etc.)
  • Optimize press releases when applicable based on existing performance, announcements, news, etc.
  • Execute traditional PR efforts such as offline partnerships, community outreach, and research
  • Utilize One Click’s media intelligence platform (Cision) as a tool to simplify blogger/influencer relations/outreach and master target pitching to create lists that develop and foster relationships with media personnel
  • Work with niche influencers for paid-media placements
  • Provide in-depth research on information relevant to our brands
  • Work closely with other members of the Brand Team to understand what we have to promote and to make sure what we’re creating is promotable
  • Conduct regular research and analysis of competitive content marketing campaigns
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of content channels and effective strategies to maximize engagement of online audiences
  • Work on other special projects as needed

  • Full alignment with our core values
  • 2+ years experience in PR with strong interest in online marketing
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in PR or related field of study
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of HTML
  • Very strong research, analytical, and decision making skills
  • Exceptional creative thinking skills with the ability to think of “big ideas” from a marketing perspective
  • Strong understanding of SEO and how social media, PR, and content impacts search rankings, brand awareness, referral traffic, conversion rates, and revenue
  • Relationship oriented
  • Perseverance, persistent, relentless: once you set your mind on a goal, you work to see it through and don’t become easily discouraged
  • Natural curiosity, desire to learn, and willingness to ask questions
  • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
