2025 Half Day with a Pro registration

On November 5, the PRSA Hoosier Chapter is once again hosting our annual Half Day with a Pro, and we’re inviting PR professionals and Indiana university and college students to take part in this meaningful opportunity.

For Pros

As a public relations professional, you’ve navigated the challenges, celebrated the wins, and built a wealth of insight along the way. For students just beginning their journey, a few hours with someone like you can spark clarity, confidence, and even career-defining inspiration. This is your chance to:

  • Give back to the profession by shaping the next generation of PR leaders.
  • Reignite your own passion by sharing what you love most about your work.
  • Strengthen your network by connecting with peers and rising talent.
  • Support diversity and growth in the field by helping students see what’s possible.

The time commitment is minimal—a half day (9 a.m.-11:15 a.m.)—but the impact is lasting. By hosting one student – at your workplace, virtually or another convenient location – you’ll have the opportunity to walk them through your day, share your insights and answer their questions about the industry.

For Students

This event offers prospective PR students across Indiana a unique opportunity to make meaningful connections with some of the state’s leading PR professionals. Participating students will be paired with PR professional(s) from diverse industries and backgrounds. By taking advantage of this professional networking event, you’ll:

  • Gain Practical Experience: Spend the day with a PR professional, seeing firsthand what a career in communications entails.
  • Build Your Network: Meet and engage with industry leaders who can offer guidance, mentorship, and even future opportunities.
  • Explore Internship and Employment Opportunities: Many students find internship or job leads through these connections.
  • Luncheon Networking: Wrap up the day by attending our November luncheon for more chances to learn and grow.

A PRSA luncheon will follow Half Day with a Pro at Indiana Donor Network (3750 Guion Road, Indianapolis) at 11:30am. A registration link will be added soon.
