Our Meet the Media series continues on July 9 with a cutting-edge virtual doubleheader: AI & A1 — a conversation at the intersection of artificial intelligence and A-list media.

We’ll start with a presentation/conversation about artificial intelligence (namely, the free software that generates on-demand words and images such as ChatGPT) in public relations. It’ll be an illuminating and uncomfortable conversation fueled by the anonymous insights of our chapter members! It’s a can’t miss. As Indy Star columnist James Briggs recently wrote, “AI can be your assistant — or your replacement.”

Headlining the second half of this virtual event is none other than Sarah Bahr, the sharp, versatile, and award-winning culture reporter at The New York Times.

At The Times, Sarah splits her time between high-profile culture reporting and newsroom-wide editing, meaning she not only tells stories but helps shape how they’re told across one of the most influential newsrooms in the world. With more than 720 stories across 14 desks under her belt, Sarah is a voice journalists and PR pros alike should be paying close attention to. And yes, we’ll be talking to her about the intersection of AI and journalism.
