Hyacinth Rucker is currently the manager of media and public relations at the world’s largest children’s museum, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and the owner of Hyacinth Innovative Solutions, LLC. She is also an adjunct professor at Anderson University. Hyacinth previously worked at the American Red Cross – Indiana Region as the regional communications manager and at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art for nearly eight years most recently as the digital marketing manager.

Before working in public relations, Hyacinth worked in the TV industry for 12 years. She graduated with a Broadcast Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has been an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for over 10 years. Currently, she serves as director at large for the PRSA East Central District and is the immediate past president of the PRSA Hoosier Chapter.

Hyacinth prides herself on being a boy mom. She has three amazing boys, Jayden, Chase, and Kaleb. In her free time, she enjoys walking with the family dog, Niya, reading, spending time with her family, playing games, watching movies, and blogging. For years, Hyacinth has shared her story by writing blogs about various topics from family vacations, to cool things to do where she lives to the importance of swim lessons and so much more in between.
