Halfway through the year
It’s always about this time of year when I ask myself, “Where has the time gone?” I’m sure you can relate. As I look back on the first half of 2024, I am so grateful to all the volunteers on the board and committees who have worked incredibly hard to bring value to our members. Through the Pinnacle Awards, networking and professional development events, membership gatherings, our DE&I content, our blog and newsletter, and so much more, our great volunteers accomplished a lot in a short amount of time.
If you, as a member, have a suggestion for the type of programming, events, or content you’d like to see yet this year, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. We want to hear from you so that we can make this chapter as valuable as possible to you.
This point in the year is also a great time to check in and review the PRSA Code of Ethics if you haven’t visited it in a while. The value of member reputation depends on the ethical conduct of all members, and I am proud to work alongside this talented community of ethical practitioners.
Finally, keep an eye on this newsletter, our chapter social media pages, and the website for upcoming events. If you haven’t been to a chapter event this year, I highly encourage you to join us at the next one. I promise it will be worth your while.
Here’s to a great second half of the year!
