Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
I’m an avid reader. I’m always reading at least two books at a time. I’m also part of a book club with my friends. We meet every month, talk about books, and drink wine — it’s pretty great.
On the more active side, I’ve been snow skiing since the age of four. I love being active and being outdoors (reading outdoors included). Basically camping, hiking and backpacking are all my jam. I also love playing recreational volleyball and kayaking on weekends.
Q: What’s one place you have yet to travel/or your favorite place you’ve visited?
I’ve traveled to almost all of the 50 states, and I’m aiming to hit all 50 before I hit 30, but I’m also planning a European trip. I’ve always wanted to go to Italy. I’ve read about it a lot and I’ve heard it’s beautiful so it’s definitely on my bucket list. I just hope it lives up to my expectations.
Q: What was your first job?
My first ever job was at Perfect North Slopes (in southeastern Indiana) working in their Tubing area. I got to push people down the tubing hill while working in freezing temperatures. But on the plus side, I got to ski for free.
Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?
It’s hard to think of just one thing that people might not know about me, so here are a couple:
– I’m a hypochondriac.
– I’m scared of dogs, but love cats (I have two).
– My middle name rhymes with my last name.
– I’m an introvert.
Q: What is your favorite app?
This is a little bit nerdy, but my favorite and most used app is the Kindle Reading app. I can sync my digital library between my Kindle and phone. So I can start a book on my kindle and pick up where I left off on my phone. For all those reading nerds out there, it’s pretty great.
